| Some people have said this
is my "Blowin' in the Wind"! I still often associate folk music
with protest songs. This is one of mine. When I reach my destination When I get to where I'm goin' When I've flown beyond the stars That's when I'll be burning my guitars When the last child dies of hunger And no one else is ever murdered When the knife no longer scars That's when I'll be burning my guitars When dark clouds rest in our blue skies And the laughter in our eyes dies When our breath is near but our love is far That's when I'll be burning my guitars After the sands of time end And all religions become friends After the peoples coup d'etat That's when I'll be burning my guitars When I reach my destination When I get to where I'm goin' When I've flown beyond the stars That's when I'll be burning my guitars |
